NEMPF Exhibition 2014






The society entered 67 images from 6 members for the 2013 - 14 NEMPF exhibition


9 entries were accepted from 4 members with one image receiving the Henson Trophy for Best Colour Projected Image in Show and one a Certificate of Merit.


"Kingfisher Return" by Steve Williams  was the Best Nature Projected Image and Winner of the Henson Trophy for  Best Projected Colour Image in Show

The theme for this competition was 'On The Street'

There were 34 entries from 17 members.


The judge was Louise Walton from Nottingham and she chose "Passing Through The City" by Alison Ashton as the winner:

Print Competition 26th September 2013







The theme for this competition was 'Portrait'.

There were 33 entries from 18 members.


The judge was Martin Litchfield CPAGB from Doncaster and he chose "Reg in a Red Hat" by Andrew Evans as the winner:

NEMPF Print Knockout 2013

  1. NEMPF Print Knockout 2013



NEMPF held the annual Print knockout competition on Friday 17th May in Nottingham.

Each club entering submits a selection of images in each round with a minimum of 5 monochrome and 5 colour images and a maximum of 3 natural history images from a minimum of 5 authors

12 images are entered in the first round and are marked by three judges from 2 - 5 giving a possible score of between 6 and 15 for each image.

The top 8 clubs from round 1 then go on to a second round of 15 prints to determine the overall winner. 
The top 2 clubs go on to represent NEMPF at the PAGB competition.

All images scoring 13, 14 or 15 (from both rounds and from all competing clubs) are put forward to be considered for best individual image.

12 clubs entered and Chesterfield scored 116 points in the first round finishing 11th.

Print Competition 14th March 2013


The theme for this competition was 'Three of a Kind'.

There were 29 entries from 17 members.

The judge was Malcolm Sales ARPS, ABIPP from Bingham and he chose "Sparrow Hawk Trio" by Steve Williams as the winner:

NEMPF PDI Knockout 2013

NEMPF PDI Knockout 2013



NEMPF held the annual PDI knockout competition on Sunday 10th March

Each club entering submits a bank of 40 images.

16 images are entered in the first round and are marked by 3 judges from 2 - 5 giving a possible score of between 6 and 15 for each image.

The top 8 clubs from round 1 then go on to a second round to determine the overall winner.
The top 2 clubs go on to represent NEMPF at the PAGB competition.

All images scoring 14 or 15 (from both rounds and from all competing clubs) are put forward to be considered for best individual image.

17 clubs entered and Chesterfield scored 144 points in the first round finishing joint 11th with Horncastle.



The second round finished with a tie for first place between Derby City and Rolls Royce (Derby) and a tie for third place between Beeston and Deepings.

The eventual winner following a tie break round was Derby City Photographic Society.
